PANNÉ VELVET, BURNOUT VELVET, OR CHIFFON CAPES: Single or Reversible
PANNÉ VELVET ROBES: Reversible

These capes and robes are amply constructed measuring 5 yards at the hem. All have neck ties and reversible hoods of the same fabric. The single panné capes have a black frog closure as well. The hood is made full to fold back when up— thus showing the black panné lining— and drape on the shoulders like a collar when down. The robes have sleeves, and are available in panné velvet, reversible only.

Panné velvet stretches. It is 100% polyester, so that it will machine wash and dry and not stain readily.

Please use the gentle cycle on your machine.

Chiffon is a very delicate, light weight fabric which requires dry cleaning. The chiffon capes are finished with a lettuce edge down the front and along the hem.

"Burnout" is velvet that has a design acid-burned into it, leaving transparent areas as negative space. It is an old French technique. Burnout must also be dry-cleaned. Capes are full, measuring 5 yards at the hemline. They have frog and long tie closure at the neck.
